After being slammed with two multimillion dollar verdicts which are currently being appealed, Johnson & Johnson is pointing the finger at plaintiffs' lawyers claiming that we are deliberately creating confusion about the science of talc.

Why were the juries so incensed that they awarded $112 million in punitive damages?

Several documents obtained through the discovery process show clearly that Johnson & Johnson was aware of the danger of its product and did everything possible to hide the damage in order to ensure profits. This greed has devastated families who have lost their mothers, sisters, daughters and granddaughters!

Following are several of the smoking gun documents that led to the jury verdicts;

This 2009 Material Data Safety Sheet on Talc shows that "perineal use of talc-based body powder is carcinogenic to humans."

This 1997 letter to Johnson & Johnson's Manager of Preclinical Toxicology clearly states that a "real statistically significant association has been undeniably established independently by several investigators, which without doubt will be readily attested to by a number of reputable scientists/clinicians."

This 1992 Marketing memo shows Johnson & Johnson's efforts to grow the franchise in ethnic (African American and Hispanic) communities while recognizing the effects of negative publicity regarding the linkage of baby powder to cancer.

This 2005 memo sets forth scientific experts on the epithelial ovarian carcinogenesis.

Had Johnson & Johnson heeded these warnings back in the 1990's how many women's lives could have been saved?
