About 560 Happy Swing II infant swings from Dream On Me Inc., a New Jersey company, are being recalled due to a strangulation risk, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced. Consumers should immediately stop using the swings and contact the company for a replacement.
According to the CPSC, the opening between the swing's tray or grab bar and seat might allow a child's unbelted body to fall through and become entrapped at the neck, posing a strangulation risk. No such injuries have been reported.
The swings were made in China and sold at juvenile product stores and CSN stores nationwide and online at Wayfair and Amazon.com from October 2010 through September 2012 from about $80 to $130.
Once consumers contact Dream On Me, they will have a choice between receiving a free replacement swing or a Melody Musical baby walker.
