Evenflo Recalls Convertible High Chairs Due to Risk From Falling Injury

Posted by Sarah Showard | Jul 08, 2012 | 0 Comments

If you bought an Evenflo high chair that converts to a toddler-size table and chair between December 2011 and June 2012, contact the company for a replacement tray. Evenflo has recalled 35,000 of these convertible high chairs, which were sold for about $40 at Toys “R” Us and Walmart, after getting 18 reports that the trays detached, allowing an unrestrained child to potentially fall, and eight reports that children did fall and suffered minor injuries.

The recall affects these models numbers, which are found on the lower part of the high-chair leg: Dottie Lime 29111259, Dottie Rose 29111271 and Marianna 29111234.

For a replacement tray with installation and use instructions, call Evenflo at 800-233-5921 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Mondays through Fridays, or go online to safety.evenflo.com.
